5. Various television commercials advertising Time-Life books and Unsolved Mysteries
The last thing I recall keeping me up at night were commercials for things like this Time-Life series of books on unexplained phenomena. Watching that commercial now, it all seems extremely silly. But I remember this specific ad plaguing my thoughts whenever the lights went out. Because really, WHO KNOWS WHAT’S OUT THERE?
Also, commercials for that ridiculous show Unsolved Mysteries used to seriously put me on edge.
